After first creating an account in Google Analytics, copy  the latest version of the Google Analytics Tracking Code and paste it into one of two places

Adding GATC through the Plone Control Pane

Using the Plone web interface, navigate to Plone Control Panel > Site Setings,  and paste the GATC code into the field labeled Javascript for web statistics support

Adding GATC through the ZMI

Go to <portal>/portal_properties/site_properties
