Typing Soft Returns with Kupu and Safari
Most word processing and page layout applications support typing shift+return to create a line break without starting a new paragraph. This yields the html equivalent of a
or
.
When editing a document in Kupu using Firefox, this convention is supported. However, using Safari for Macintosh and typing shift+return causes a paragraph break with the insertion of a
to end the preceding paragraph and a
to begin the new paragraph.
The solution is to use control+return when editing a document in Kupu using Safari for Macintosh.
